I'm a translator and language tutor working between the languages English, German, Romansh and French.

As a literary translator, I translate the voices of authors who write in the Swiss minority-language Romansh into English. I grew up in Canton Grisons, the only trilingual canton in Switzerland, so Romansh is an important part of my identity as a writer and translator.

As a commercial translator and proofreader, I mainly translate texts in the subject areas of medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical and medical technology; advertising and tourism; social sciences and humanities; arts and culture. I also have experience in translating personal documents such as marriage certificates, driving licences and birth certificates. I also offer proofreading services for academic texts and doctoral theses.

As a language tutor, I have experience teaching German to English translation methodology and translation theory at university level. I have also taught English, German and Romansh to students aged 8 to 80, and care deeply about widening access to life-long education. I offer one-on-one tuition in a range of subjects and levels, with a particular focus on primary/secondary school tutoring, academic tutoring in languages and the humanities, and academic writing tutoring. I can also offer advice on university admissions.
